Dear Gateway SGNA Colleagues,
Welcome to what promises be another great year of GI experiences. I am proud to serve you as your GSGNA President for 2011 and I want to thank all of the officers and committee members for their hard work and support. Without them, none of this would be possible.

It is my honor to present to you the GSGNA Board of Directors for 2011:

• Treasurer - Maurie Kay Dunn RN BSN
• Director at Large - Patricia Moushey RN CGRN

Your Program/Education Committee is comprised of Marilyn Missey as Chair, along with the entire GSGNA Board of Directors, as well as Maureen Hof RN BSN.

As education is our main goal, we will be working hard for you. We are planning a spring and fall all-day seminar plus one evening seminar in addition to the GI Nurses and Associates Day Celebration. The spring seminar is scheduled for April 16, 2011 at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. The dates for the fall seminar and the evening seminar are not yet set. We have been and will continue to listen to you when planning the presentations. Joining our planning committee is a great way to get involved with the organization and have your ideas be heard.

As this organization cannot run itself without dedicated leaders, we are always looking for volunteers to step up. GSGNA needs and wants your help. We are a great society and we can become an even better one. Please think about joining us and possibly running for office in the fall. Elections will be held for President-elect, Treasurer, and Director at Large. Everyone is welcome to come to the Board of Directors meetings to find out more about the organization.

The next meeting will be following the GI Nurses and Associates Day Celebration. If you have any questions concerning the duties of the officers, feel free to contact me or any board member. We will be happy to talk with you.
