Dear Colleagues,

It has become a busy year for Gateway SGNA, and time is slipping by. We are under way, forming our educational topics for our seminars. It is our goal to provide our members and non-members with quality educational opportunities in the field of Gastroenterology.

Without the enormous support and talents of the Educational committee and all the Board members, this task could not be accomplished. To fulfill the needs of education for our peers, it takes dedication and passion. For this, I thank them all.

I am proud to be your President for the next two years. Gateway SGNA, will be hosting the Annual course in 2009 in St Louis. This is a big milestone for Gateway Region 32. Many individuals have worked very hard to bring this conference to our area. This also means the Certification exam will be provided in St. Louis. Anyone wanting to take the exam can prepare do to so. Best of Luck to you. I am proud of you.

In addition, Gateway SGNA is sponsoring a host table in Salt Lake City. Members attending the Annual Course will see a preview of things St. Louis has to offer. The next two years prove to be a busy time for your Board Members and Committee Members.

I would also like to inform every one of changes implemented to bring Gateway Region 32 up to date, including the Web site and strategic goals. I encourage each and everyone to become involved in your organization from business meetings, to ideas for education, to voting, to running for office. Your passion is there. You are GI Nurses and Associates. I assure you it is very rewarding. Please encourage your colleagues to attend the educational offerings and join SGNA. I Hope to visit with all of you at the seminars and the celebration of our GI profession.

Respectfully

Shelley Riddle LPN/CGN BA
