Gateway SGNA depends upon volunteer leaders to carry on the business of the organization. New leadership is vital for the stability and growth of GSGNA. Interested members will be carefully mentored into leadership roles so they develop a comfort level with their duties and a seamless transition of the Society occurs from year to year. The President-elect, treasurer (even years), secretary (odd years), and Director-at-Large are elected by the membership each October at the Fall Educational Course during the business meeting. The Education/Program Chair, Newsletter Editor, Historian, Membership Chair, Website Manager, and Legislative Chair (optional) and their committee members are appointed by the President. Ad Hoc or special committees are also selected by the President on an as needed basis.
