TBA based on results of GSGNA survey

Goals: By the year 2010, Gateway SGNA would like:

  1. An increase in membership
Our highest membership was 120 in 1993. Since then our membership numbers have remained between 80-100 members.
  2. An increase in leadership development
New leaders are essential to our growth and development as a viable organization.
  3. An increase in fiscal responsibility
We need to ensure growth with existing funds to enhance new growth and support future programs so that Gateway SGNA remains in existence.
  4. An increase in physician involvement
We would like to collaborate with our physician colleagues in the areas of educational seminars, educating the public, editorials in our Newsletter, and physician advisor for our organization.
  5. An increase in community involvement
As GI professional nurses, we possess a unique knowledge of our specialty that we can utilize to educate the public and make Gateway SGNA a household name.
  6. An increase in legislative involvement
As healthcare professionals, we have insight into the triumphs and failures of the healthcare system. This knowledge can be used to improve the system.
